Renate Grim Renate Grim is the Director of Family Services. During her tenure in the death care industry she has helped thousands of families at one of the most difficult times of their lives. A native to Germany, where her husband served in the US Army, she has been a Pennsylvania resident since 1985. Prior to choosing the death care industry she was co-owner of a stained glass studio called "Don't Throw Stones", in York PA. The Grims specialize in the historical restoration of stained glass. Furthermore, Renate taught thousands the art of stained glass over the years. Her work can still be seen in churches, businesses, colleges & private homes still today.
Alesia Skinner (above) has been the owner and CEO of Paxtang Cemetery since 2006. In 2014 with the passing of her mother she dedicated 12 acres to The Wood's Edge the first Green Burial Grounds in Central PA. Alesia has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Bloomsburg University and a PA Cemetery Brokers License. She worked for IBM and Siemens for 12 years before leaving to run her own event-planning company for close to 10 years before acquiring Paxtang Cemetery. She is a member of International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA), and a board member of the PA Cemetery, Cremation, Funeral Home Association (PCCFA), She is also a member of the Cross Point Church, Audubon Society, Arbor Day Foundation, Paxtang Lions Club, and a Life Member of Paxtang Historical Society and Paxton Creek Water Shed & Education Assoc. She is also a big advocate for Bethesda Mission and Humane Society. Alesia, her husband James and three children, Joshua, Collin and Alana live in Lower Paxton Township with their beloved pets Sophie and Zipper.
She and her husband chose to close their studio doors, after more than a decade, to pursue different career paths. They currently reside in Susquehanna Twp with their newest member of the family, a jack russel terrior named Athena. Renate is an advocate of the Humane Society, Wounded Warrior Project and the Shriner Children's Hospital. She is a member of St. Theresa Church in New Cumberland. She is looking forward serving our families with dignity & respect, as we, at Paxtang Cemetery, have done in the past.
